Mava was started a few months a go and was born out of a pivot, which means that by joining our team you'll get to build our product and join our journey at an early stage and there will be a wide variety of features and tasks to work on, such as:
- Further building out our omni-channel support system
- Wallet Insights, Profiling & Analytics
- Community-enabled support & (crypto) rewards
- Chatbots
About the role:
We take tech seriously and are looking for an experienced developer to join the team working directly with our Chief Technology Officer (CTO). You'll be our first DevOps focused hire and will become an integral senior team member with the ability to help drive product and tech direction whilst working directly with the founders at this exciting stage in Mava's journey.
The role will be ‘remote first’, however, there will be opportunities to work in person in London, UK.
Responsibilities:
- Your main responsibility will be DevOps, but still being a small tech team (4 FT engineers) , the ideal candidate will also have general backend development experience.
- Design and implement infrastructure for our software development and delivery process using AWS, CDK and GitHub Actions.
- Automate software deployment, testing, and monitoring processes to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Manage infrastructure as code using tools like CloudFormation CDK or Terraform.
- Ensure that our infrastructure meets security and compliance standards.
- Continuously research and evaluate new technologies and tools to improve our infrastructure.
Essential:
- 3+ year of relevant experience (more experienced candidates will be considered as senior engineers
- Strong experience with AWS services such as ECS, Fargate, RDS, SES, S3, and Lambda.
- Experience with MongoDB
- Experience with GitHub Actions or similar continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools.
- Proficient in at least one programming language such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Python
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Ability to speak and write in English fluently
Nice to haves:
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, or New Relic.
- Experience with serverless architecture and services such as AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB
- Decentralized finance (DeFi) / Blockchain experience with Solidity, Rust, Web3.js, Ethereum.js, Python/Django
- Experience within a startup environment
- Passionate about web3
