Mava is a venture backed startup looking to empower companies get the next billion people onto web3 by providing them with a powerful support platform.

Mava was started a few months a go and was born out of a pivot, which means that by joining our team you'll get to build our product and join our journey at an early stage and there will be a wide variety of features and tasks to work on, such as:


- Further building out our omni-channel support system
- Wallet Insights, Profiling & Analytics
- Community-enabled support & (crypto) rewards
- Chatbots

About the role:

We take tech seriously and are looking for an experienced web developer to join the team working directly with our Chief Technology Officer (CTO).As one of our first hires, you will become an integral senior team member with the ability to help drive product direction whilst working directly with the founders at this exciting stage in Mava's journey.

The role will be ‘remote first’, however, there will be opportunities to work in person in London, UK

Responsibilities:

- You'll be working as a full-stack engineer, with more emphasis on front-end development
- You’ll be developing robust and responsive web applications for our client-facing products
- You will take ownership of Mava's web app development working with other engineers, UX/UI designers as well as the wider team

Essential:
‍
- 3+ year of relevant web development experience (more experienced candidates will be considered as senior or lead engineers)
- Highly proficient in HTML, JS, CSS, TypeScript, NodeJS & Github
- Understanding/experience of full-stack including MongoDB, AWS etc.
- Ability to speak and write in English fluently


Nice to haves:

- Experience with Svelte
- Decentralized finance (DeFi) / Blockchain experience with Solidity, Rust, Web3.js, Ethereum.js,
- Experience within a startup environment
- Passionate about web3
